Since 2019, I've been self-employed, and the arrival of my daughter in 2023 led me to seek a role that offered flexibility around family life. I've always felt a natural connection with older, more mature individuals. Recently, I had the privilege of caring for my daughter's great-grandma before she passed. She was a stoic and remarkable lady, battling cancer with incredible grace, and I deeply admired her work ethic and resilience. Helping people is profoundly fulfilling for me. My views and opinions often align closely with those of the older generation, and I hold immense respect for my elders. I truly enjoy learning about their lives and hearing their rich experiences.

After having an interview and being offered a role with a well known befriending company, I politely declined their offer, I already had the skills, experience needed and with a little encouragement from a good friend of mine who offers a similar service - Hirst's Home was created.
